Despite being 7 months pregnant, extremely emotional and a self proclaimed control freak, I decided to plan my own baby shower that was being hosted in Chicago while I lived in NYC. I wanted an intimate formal ladies luncheon with my closest family and friends. I relied heavily on an amazing team and my vendors to execute all my ideas to host a perfect event. Thank you to all my friends and family for traveling from afar and making the time to come out but this post is dedicated to all my vendors as a huge THANK YOU!
My amazing team of vendors:
- Chicago Vintage Rentals and Chantel for all the beautiful vintage place settings, props and furniture
- The Dalcy – Christine and staff
- Aba – Chef Eric and his fantastic team
- Wrap It Up Parties – Laura and Elise for setting everything up the day off and coordinating all the logistics
- Flowers for Dreams– Ask for Michael, who was amazing. The organization and every bouquet purchased benefits a local charity. They do amazing work within the Chicagoland area!
- Jeremy from Jeremy Moss Photography for these beautiful images
- Sophia from Mystic Tarot – such a huge hit that people are still asking me about her services!!
- Brian Weza from Openbooks.org – Held a book drive to help donate books to Chicago inner city schools
Entertaining Tips:
From having hosted multiple social events, I always think it’s beneficial for guests to have some entertainment or something for them to do. For the kids I had an entire table with games, coloring books, activities set up so they wouldn’t bother their moms! 🙂 For the adults I had Sophia from Mystic Tarot come and do palm reading along with tarot card readings. Of course the bar cart was moving around with plenty of drinks for some liquid encouragement! 😉
